What is Twitter?
Twitter is a free service that lets you keep in touch with people through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing? Twitter only allows posts under 140 characters in length.
Following someone on Twitter simply means receiving their Twitter updates or “tweets.” When you follow someone, every time they post a new message, it will appear on your Twitter home page. New messages are added to your home page as people post them, so you always get the updates in real time. You can also get updates from your phone.
