Pittsford Central School District Website The website of the Pittsford Central School District (PCSD), www.pittsfordschools.org offers information on its schools and staff. PCSD ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION Have you signed up for Urgent Messaging? Offered by the PCSD, it can send an email to your home or office in the case of emergency, school closings, etc. EVERYONE with a child in the PCSD should sign up today! During 2008-2009 school year, the middle and high schools (SHS, MHS, CRMS, BRMS) will send Morning Announcements directly to registered school news recipients. These Morning Announcements were previously sent with the PTSA E-News. Morning Announcements are complied by the staff at each of the high schools and middle schools and read to the students during homeroom each day. The information is school specific and is usually directed to the students. It includes information such as lost & found, school activities, cancelations, school library reminders, etc. As Morning Announcements will be sent directly from the schools, they may also be supplemented with School News such as letters from the principals, counseling department notes, health suggestions from the school nurse, etc.. Some elementary school may also be offering this type of information electronically. You will need to register directly with the school(s) from which you wish to obtain Morning Announcements and School News. To protect your privacy, the PTSA cannot share the email addresses used in 2007-2008. To register for Morning Announcements, visit www.pittsfordschools.org and follow the directions. This process is multi-faceted including budget preparation, presentation, review, adoption, sharing with the community, and concluding with a community vote. During this process there are a variety of meetings held by the Board of Education. Residents are invited and encouraged to attend these sessions as they are open to the public. PSCD has very specific requirements and restrictions regarding fundraising in the schools. Most of these regulations are based on New York Code of Rules and Regulations and applly to all public schools within NYS. Please check the files below for policy BEFORE initiating any fundraising. Approval by the Superintendent's Office is required for all fundraising.
