There are PTSA meetings at both the school level and at the district level. All parents, whether a member of PTSA or not, are encouraged to attend any and all PTSA meetings.
School PTSA meetings are held at each school. They frequently include the principal and a teacher representative. Issues directly relating to that school are discussed, or district-wide issues are reported upon. School PTSA meetings are an excellent opportunity to meet parents from your school and to directly discuss and impact parts of your child's educational experience.
The District PTSA meetings are attended by volunteers who chair various committees within the PTSA and others. Discussions frequently are about issues affecting all Pittsford children, all elementary children, etc.. Parents are always welcome.
